Valentine’s on Pinterest

Valentine's on Pinterest

Yes it’s true, it’s nearly that day again. And whether or not you decide to join in the Valentine’s OTT pink and red décor, you should check out the awesome things I’ve found on Pinterest to do.

I don’t know why I love Valentine’s, I think it might just be because I’ve always been obsessed with heart shapes. Plus my favourite colours are pink and red 😉 and it’s a nice little holiday in between Christmas and Easter. And I love an excuse to decorate. But for me, Valentine’s isn’t just about being with the person you love, it’s about being with the family that you love. I usually end up making a cake or making a special dinner, and when I was younger my mum and I would exchange gifts, especially when I was at Uni because it’s the little things that make it special 😉

If you’re going to tell someone you love them, why not do it with bacon?

And all you need for this tasty gift are 12 pieces of bacon, probably best to use streaky bacon, but you could try a larger heart with back bacon 🙂

Now this one I love and equally hate, only because it means chopping up an old book…

The creator of this DIY crafty gift punched hearts throughout her old copy of Charlotte’s web with her favourite quotes, words and phrases. You could easily do this with a dictionary so you just have the word in the heart, or even write them down on some coloured card to make it more personal to you.

If you’d like to try this out you can find a heart punch on hobbycraft between £2.50-£15.00 depending on the size you choose.
